Resmed CPAP P30i Pillow/Tube Connector

I’m in the middle of trying to sell my home right now so haven’t had much time for anything creative (as well as having my studio completely cleaned out). Out of necessity I did, however, find time to make this absolutely thrilling object. (I’ll wait while you finish yawning).

Anyone who suffers from Sleep Apnea and uses this particular model as their sleep aid can probably appreciate this post.

With daily washing and general wear and tear, I have found that the connector for the Resmed P30i CPAP pillow and tubing becomes very loose, with the result that the pillow will slip out of the tube during the night.
I tried an elastic band to hold in place but this was not very effective.
With a few hours of design and different size iterations 3D printed I came up with this clip which works perfectly to hold both in place. Simply push the clip onto the tubing – it’s a tight fit because there is a hard plastic piece inside the tube connection point; it’s this piece that cracks and causes the failure in the first place, I believe – and slide it down a centimeter or so. Now insert the pillow and then slide the clip back up to hold the pillow in place.

I printed mine on a Bambu Labs P1S out of PLA. It’s a very quick print with obviously no supports needed.

If you are a CPAP user or knows someone who is (and uses this particular model) then you, or they, will surely be familiar with this problem. It costs $100+ to buy a new headpiece to hold the pillow and I myself am sick of forking out money for something that is designed for obsolescence. So, if you have a 3D printer you can print this and save some serious money. The STL file is available from my Cults 3D page for 1 Euro (approx US$1.10) here.
