I created this a while back. I made the lightweight concrete base with no idea what I was going to put on top. It sat in my studio for weeks before I finally hit upon this idea – for no particular reason. I modeled the spaceship over top of a toothpick holder, which is what I had been staring at for a while wondering what I could make out of it (as one does, haha). It is mostly polymer clay but with some small parts made out of Milliput epoxy. Finally, instead of making the engine exhaust port concave I closed it off and painted it black so that a tealight candle could be put on top if one wanted to. It measures 4.5 inches in height and width. Here are some photo’s of the finished piece and some in-progress shots.
