A movie that has stayed with me since my youth was “The Thomas Crown Affair” with the incomparable Steve McQueen and the sultry Faye Dunaway. Loved the movie, but I was trying to learn the guitar at the time and practised with a piece of music from the score – “Windmills of Your Mind”, performed by Noel Harrison. Now, decades later, I give a little nod to the movie with this rather literal interpretation of the words.
This is a trinket or jewelry dish that features a stylised head with decal transfer images (my own) of windmills on the inside of the dish. It has been coated with resin. The dish is made of air-dry clay and is a unique, one-of-a-kind item. It is splash resistant but should not be soaked in water. Wipe with a damp cloth for cleaning.
I have signed it with my maker’s mark and the date on the bottom, and it measures 3.5 x 3 inches.
