Here is the first of the jewellery or trinket dishes that I mentioned I’d been working on in the last post. It measures about 5.5 inches in diameter and is made of recycled paper, paper clay, cotton wool, paint, resin and exterior grade satin urethane. In real life if you look under the “water” near the edge you can see there is some depth to the piece with rocks visible underneath. This dish looks heavy but is relatively light and very strong. It would easily withstand a fall from a cabinet to floor, for example (those with cats will know what I’m talking about!).
In the end I did decide to list it on Etsy (link here), where I’ve been selling since 2010, but if you want to save some money you can purchase it directly from me here – via PayPal (no funds needed in account if you are using a credit card), or e-transfer if you live in Canada. It’s on Etsy purely to allow people to purchase with more peace of mind, but it costs more due to Etsy’s fees (you may also pay taxes).
Price from me directly here is US$75 which includes tracked shipping in Canada or US, elsewhere please add US$20. Ships from Canada (import fees and taxes – if any – would be your responsibility). If you’re interested please contact me – gslinger@rogers.com
