Recent Handmade Rings

As well as my jewellery using 3D Printing technology I also use hand-crafted techniques. Below are some recent examples using Argentium Silver (.935 silver with germanium alloy) which tarnishes much less (if at all) than regular sterling silver.

All available in my shop on Etsy. Fine Silver Jewellery.

Spartan Helmet Ring in Sterling Silver

Spartan Helmet Ring in Sterling Silver

This is my latest ring design – a representation of an ancient Spartan solder’s helmet, complete with battle damage. Made of solid sterling silver, the inside band has “.925 GJS” inside for sterling and my maker’s mark. Available for $99 in US size 9.25 immediately from my store on Shapeways.com, but I can make any size you’d like.

Sterling Silver Ring with Fire Citrine stone

My latest ring, sterling silver, with a 3.5mm Fire Citrine on a raised setting. The band design is such that it splits from the bottom up to capture the stone. This ring is a size 4 and available from my store on Etsy.com.

Vajra, or Dorje Rings

A customer requested the rings below for himself and his wife. He wanted them based loosely on the ritual object derived from a Sanskrit word. If you’re so inclined you can find more information on Wikipedia. The rings are made out of sterling silver. Wax models 3D Printed at Shapeways and then cast in traditional lost wax method.

Interlocking Rings in Sterling Silver

This is my latest custom request; jewellery for a couple. The ring is for one person and the other will be worn as a pendant. Solid sterling silver. Of course, if you both have the same finger size they can each be worn as rings.

Pure Silver and Amethyst Ring

I hand-crafted this ring in .999% pure silver and added the amethyst in a gypsy setting as a final step. It is a size US4.25 but adjustable by a couple of sizes (it is not a thin ring and will hold its size easily).

Silver Mask Ring

I modeled this mask as part of a digital Green Hornet photo-manip that I completed. Having the digital model “left over” I then decided to design a ring out of it and this was the result. I had it 3D-printed by Shapeways in Glossy Silver and was really happy with the results. You can see it in my store on Shapeways. I currently have a ring in US size 9.25 ready to ship for $80 on Etsy.

Question Mark Ring

Ever just wonder WHY? Do you question everything? Then this ring is for you! Next time someone exasperates you with a stupid decision just stick up your finger and ask WHY? with a flourish.

I designed this sterling silver (.925 silver) question mark ring myself so that the ring becomes slightly adjustable in size because it doesn’t form a solid circle. It’s a unique design and sure to be a conversation piece.

This ring is NOT silver plated and is NOT hollow. It is a SOLID sterling silver piece.

This ring is available in two sizes READY TO SHIP (no waiting!) from my ETSY STORE.
** US Size 7.4 and Size 5 ** (see ring mandrel photo’s).

Sterling Silver Mechanical Ring

I designed this sterling silver (.925 silver) ring myself based loosely on the idea it was to resemble a part of some alien mechanical device. I say loosely because, quite honestly, whatever it looks like depends on the viewer! Either way it’s a unique design and sure to be a conversation piece. Take a close look at the ribbed incisions on the edge of the ring.

This ring is NOT silver plated and is NOT hollow. It is a SOLID sterling silver piece and has a nice heft to it.

Available on Etsy in two sizes – US 7.25 and 4.25 (17.3mm and 14.7mm) for US$45.

Coin Holder Ring

Coin holder ring.  The top will hold a Canadian quarter coin (23.8mm, same as USA) with just a small clearance. It would, of course, need to be glued in. The ring size prints to14.3mm so would fit a N. American 3 to 3.5, which would be for a youth or someone with slender fingers.
If you would like a different size please get in touch here or at gslingeratrogersdotcom.
US$14.40 in stainless steel. Of course, the coin does not come with it!
