Another recently commissioned piece, this is a sterling silver pendant based on the client’s design… My design was 3D printed in wax and then traditionally cast in silver.

A commissioned sterling silver pendant… If you have any particular design you’d like made into a pendant please get in touch. This one is now available in my Shapeways store.
Someone commissioned me recently to produce a charm to remind her of her two grand-children whose names both started with A…
This seems to be a popular design for jewellery and I decided to make one myself. This is solid bronze (not plated) and has a nice “chunky” feel to it, but certainly not too heavy to wear. I made my own mold for this to get the rough shape in bronze metal clay, and then completely hand finished it with carving and smoothing before firing in the kiln and then yet more hand finishing.
Although I will likely make more of these no two will ever be exactly alike.
At the present this is only available from me directly; I’m not sure if I will continue with my Etsy store as of yet. $50 (US and Cdn $) including shipping to anywhere in USA or Canada.
45 RPM Record Spindle Pendant for the TRUE music lover. Anyone who saw the image without reading this and didn’t know what the heck it was just HAS to be under 30 years of age! If you STILL don’t know what it is back in the days of REAL music, when a SINGLE song release was just that – ONE song on a piece of vinyl there was a large hole in the middle which allowed you to play it alone on your RECORD PLAYER, but if you wanted to stack a number of records to play following each other, then they needed to be placed on a thin spindle and thus this little piece of plastic had to be inserted to close the large hole to make the small hole available for the spindle.
This ends your history lesson for the day!
$11.97 for the one pictured below, $9.01 in white, and $21.70 in stainless steel. Direct link to the pendant HERE.
The day AFTER Valentine’s I decide to post this… hhmm.
I was intrigued by similar jewellery I’d seen that employed words viewed at different angles and came up with this. From the front (or back) it looks like a simple heart in a contemporary design, but if you turn it sideways you can see that the word LOVE is spelled out. Available in the usual plastics and metals; in stainless steel the cost is $19.20
A pendant inspired by the tri-spiral design on the entrance stone at the Megalithic Tomb in Newgrange, Ireland, which is probably the most famous Irish Megalithic symbol. It is often referred to as a Celtic design, but it was carved at least 2500 years before the Celts reached Ireland. The Megalithic Passage Tomb at Newgrange was built about 3200 BC. The kidney shaped mound covers an area of over one acre and is surrounded by 97 kerbstones, some of which are richly decorated with megalithic art. The 19 metre long inner passage leads to a cruciform chamber with a corbelled roof. It is estimated that the construction of the Passage Tomb at Newgrange would have taken a work force of 300 at least 20 years.
US$13.90 in stainless steel. You can buy from my Shapeways store.
I also have a ring wih this design on it which can also be seen in my Shapeways store.

This was a recent custom request… Now available to you! Just for your inner hippy! The Ohm, Peace and Love symbols lie vertically on a surfboard-shaped pendant, with a hole large enough to string a piece of leather through and hang it round your neck as you cruise the neighbourhood of your favourite beach scene…
Just over 6cm’s in length and $10.87 in acrylic or $29 in stainless steel. Buy it from my Shapeways shop.
You’ve seen Serleena’s necklace in the movie “Men in Black II” and you want to know where to buy it? Now you know!
This was a custom request a short time ago, but it was wanted in silver. At the time Shapeways wasn’t able to produce anything in silver but that may be changing very soon since they are now testing this metal.
I can’t vouch for its likeness since I was shown very indistinct photo’s from the movie… but it’s a nice necklace anyway, I think. At just over 14cm in width and with a subtle curve to its form it should sit comfortably a few inches below the neck. Your own chain would be required to fasten at each end.
For now you can get it in stainless steel, antique bronze or 24kt gold-plated s/steel. Click on this link Serlena’s Necklace to go direct to the item in my store. In stainless steel it costs US$25 INCLUDING shipping by UPS.
If you would like to be notified if/when Shapeways will offer this in silver leave me your email address (it won’t be used for anything other than this).
Below are rendered images of the necklace.
